Acceptance of terms
By creating an account or using the Oak, The Wine Keeper app ("Oak", "the App"), you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the App.

Who provides the service
Oak is developed and operated by Beast Machine LLC ("we", "us", "the company"), a limited liability company organized under the laws of the State of New Mexico, United States.
Service description
Oak is an app for managing personal wine collections: identifying bottles by photo or code, tracking an estimated drinking window based on your cellar and real local climate, a tasting log, and features to share your collection with others. Oak does not sell wine, does not facilitate buy/sell transactions between users, and does not replace the advice of a wine professional (sommelier, oenologist) regarding a bottle's actual condition.
Minimum age and eligibility
Oak is not directed at users under 18, consistent with its wine/alcohol-related subject matter. By creating an account, you confirm you are at least 18 years old.
Your account
You are responsible for keeping your account (via Google Sign-In) secure and for all activity under it. You can delete your account at any time from within the App (Settings → Delete account) — this removes your data as described in the Privacy Policy.
Content you upload
You own the content you upload to Oak (label photos, tasting selfies, notes, ratings). By uploading a label photo, you grant us permission to process it — including sending it to a third-party AI provider (currently Google Gemini) to automatically identify winery, varietal, and vintage — solely to complete that information in your collection. We do not use your content to train third-party AI models beyond what's needed to provide the service, and we do not sell it.
Acceptable use
You may not upload, share, or use Oak to publish: nudity or sexually explicit or suggestive content involving real people; content that sexualizes minors (zero tolerance, subject to mandatory reporting) or shows a minor consuming alcohol; promotion or facilitation of illegal drug use or sale, promotion of excessive or irresponsible alcohol consumption, or facilitating alcohol sales to minors; graphic violence, threats, incitement to violence, or promotion of self-harm or suicide; hate speech or harassment directed at a specific person; photos of other identifiable people without their consent; content that facilitates crimes or infringes third-party copyrights or trademarks; spam, phishing, or scams; or attempts to compromise Oak's security or access other users' accounts. Beast Machine LLC reserves the right to remove any content that violates this clause and to suspend or terminate the responsible account, with or without prior notice.
Sharing features and public content
Oak lets you share a link to a bottle, a Bitácora memory (which may include a selfie), your wishlist, or your whole collection. These links are public: anyone who receives them can view them without needing an Oak account. You are solely responsible for the content you upload and share, and for who you share that access with — you can revoke it anytime from within the App. If you come across shared content that violates these Terms, you can report it using the "Report this content" link available on every shared page, or by emailing us at support@oakwines.com.ar.
Oak Premium (subscriptions)
Certain features (unlimited collection, multiple cellars, batch cellaring, among others) require a paid subscription ("Oak Premium"). Through Google Play or the Apple App Store: USD 3.99/month or USD 39.99/year — pricing, billing, cancellations, and refunds are governed by the respective store's policies. Through oakwines.com.ar/premium (available for Argentina accounts): ARS 6,000/month or ARS 60,000/year, charged via Mercado Pago — you can cancel anytime from your Mercado Pago account, and when you cancel, Oak Premium stays active until the end of the period you already paid for. In both cases, signing into Oak with the same Google account you use to pay is what links the subscription to your Oak account.
Intellectual property
The "Oak, The Wine Keeper" brand, its logo, and the App's design are the property of Beast Machine LLC. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute the App or its trademarks without authorization.
Disclaimer of warranties
Oak is provided "as is". The drinking-window estimate is a guidance tool based on temperature and cellar-type data — we do not guarantee it reflects the actual condition of a specific bottle, and we are not liable for consumption decisions based solely on that estimate.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Beast Machine LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the App, including loss of data or loss of access to your collection.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll notify you of material changes within the App or by email. Continued use of Oak after a change constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may stop using Oak and delete your account at any time.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Mexico, United States, without prejudice to any consumer-protection provisions that may apply in your country of residence.
